working visits

Agreat way to experience life at the Centre is to come on a working visit. In exchange for 35 hours work, usually spread over five days, you receive:
- Seven days free dormitory accommodation;
- Including three vegetarian meals a day;
- A unique opportunity to meet and work alongside members of Tara Centre's community and to find out more about the Buddhist way of life;
- Free attendance at any classes or courses that may be running at the Centre during your stay.
The work you do could be anything: building, gardening, decorating, cooking or cleaning; working in the World Peace Café or in the office; in the Art room, Sewing room, or the Barn B&B; on a tractor or on a computer - there's always plenty to do! Tara Centre is run entirely by volunteers, and whether you are skilled or unskilled, so long as you're enthusiastic your help will make a big contribution to the Centre's work to benefit all living beings.
