Tara Centre

T ara Centre is an internationally renowned Kadampa Buddhist college for study, meditation and retreat, established by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso in 1983. Located at Ashe Hall in the Derbyshire countryside close to the village of Etwall, and set within 38 acres of woodlands and fields, our main purpose is to practise, demonstrate and explain the Buddhist way of life in a manner appropriate for people in the 21st century.
Tara Centre offers study programmes, retreats and courses all through the year - all designed to explain these ancient and practical teachings to those new to meditation and Buddhism. Many people from all around the world come to Tara Centre each year to learn to meditate, to deepen their experience of Buddhism and to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere.
