Meditation classes in Stoke-on-Trent teaching basic meditation and the practice of Kadampa Buddhism. The purpose of these classes is to help people to find inner peace through meditation, to overcome their daily problems, and to find real happiness in their hearts.
Kelsang Khechog teaches the classes in Stoke-on-Trent. Khechog is a student on the Teacher Training Programme and has studied at Tara Centre for three years, where he now co-ordinates the education programme. He was ordained in 2006. His powerful and clear teachings are delivered in a gentle and caring manner.
Each class consists of guided meditations, a talk and discussion. They last about two hours, including refreshments. The classes are suitable for everyone from beginners to experienced meditators. Each class is self contained, though you are welcome to attend the whole course. They provide an ideal introduction to meditation and Buddhism, teaching effective and practical methods for overcoming problems and increasing happiness in daily life.

On Sunday the 20th of April the Stoke meditation group will be holding a daycourse entitled 'Finding our Happiness from Within'. This course will be an introduction to Buddhist meditation, including insight and instruction on how to find happiness from inside our own minds, regardless of external circumstances.
